The truth is the hustle and bustle of life can cause you to neglect or limit the amount of time with God. In most cases, that's not deliberate, and most people are actually caught in a place where they're trying to rectify that.
The interesting thing about injecting more time with God into a busy lifestyle is that the focus can't just be on the activity, but actually the building of the habit that will support the continuity of it. This is important because these deliberate acts help you underpin the relationship that you build and nurture with God, thereby increasing your faith, level of discernment and so much more.
Here are 5 things that you can do to spend time with God daily, even in the midst of what feels like a busy life:
Listen to Worship Music In Your Travels and Work Space, Where Possible - We were literally created to worship and the beauty about living in the 21st century is that everything is accessible via our phones, so you can listen to worship music on your way to work, at work (if it is allowed), during your break time and on your way home. As much as it is not the same as locking away and bowing down before the Lord, this still feeds your spirit and allows your spirit to to subconsciously dwell on the things of the Lord.
Listen to an Audio Bible - Another perk of living in the 21st century and similarly to listening to worship music the same can be applied to listening to an audio bible. This is a great injection because we need to be nourished by the Word, and although it's easy to say we should always make time to read the Word, sometimes, persons find it hard to even read the Word because of how intimidating it can feel at times. An audio Bible helps to eliminate intimidation and the struggle to make time.
Start a Devotional Plan - Devotionals are no longer limited to physical books. There are lots of devotionals that are accessible via your phone and can be downloaded to use anywhere and anytime. This helps you to add a bit of structure to how you are taking in God's Word and applying it to everyday life; thereby allowing you to more actively walk in the light.
Have Quiet Time With God On Your Way To Work - Sometimes, we're so focused on how much we dislike traffic or a long commute to work that we don't realize that it's prime time to spend time with God. When we choose to spend those moments speaking with God, worshipping and praying, we set ourselves up for an improved emotional and spiritual state for the day ahead.
Listen to Sermons or Christian Podcasts While You Clean Your Home - Never thought of it? Well, it's one of the most interesting ways of engaging your mind and spirit while you least expect it. Doing this helps you to take in the Word while still feeling productive at home.
There are many other options for you based on your own, specific dynamic at home. Either way, we want you to know that you don't have to miss out on connecting with God just because you have a busy lifestyle. Work on the habit of injecting more time with God into your busy life by doing these intentional and impactful things.
