Sunday, July 28, 2024 marked the staging of what could be described as an intimate time with the Lord, which provided a stellar meeting place for event guests and ministers alike. Led by the radiant M/C, Tishaun Edwards, the event was further outfitted with quality musicians and passionate supporting vocalists, making the music very rich and properly paired with the time of worship that was about to unfold.
Staged by Naurice Edwards, ENCOUNTER was held at the NHT Sports Club, and got underway soon after 6pm. Once the host ushered us into the event, we were quickly exposed to the quality, worship-filled outpouring from MJ Saxophone! Having the guests sing along with him as he played, it was clear that the mood was set, preparing guests aptly for what was to come.
After MJ Saxophone completed his time of ministry, Naurice Edwards took to the stage to lead guests in a time of Praise & Worship that was filled with guest favourites and other powerful songs. Thereafter, Trecian Smith-Bryan entered the stage with her bird-like and authentic tones, ready to take the already saturated atmosphere to another level with Holy Spirit.
For the time that she shared, you could see the passion and deep level of intentionality that radiated from her spirit as she approached the throne of grace, and made room for the following segment.
Thereafter, Prophet Ryan Mark, who was expected to share a Word, announced that he would go with the Lord's leading and have more of a free-flow segment.
The well-placed and well-timed segment unfolded beautifully as there were multiple moments of breakthrough, sharing and deep intercession.
The time with the Prophet also ended on t touching note which was nested in care and intimacy where, not only were the guests prayed over and declarations made, but Naurice Edwards was ministered to in a variety of heartfelt ways in a bid to encourage the minister to continue to press forward through this mode of impact and worship unto the Lord.
Following this intimate time with the Lord, the event seemed to take another step into more with the Lord as Audia Spencer-Brown lit up the stage with energy, gutsy vocals and an evident love for the Lord and His people.
Singing a variety of songs from her own repertoire as well as personal favourites, she ushered us beautifully into our closing segment which was a solid showcasing of Naurice Edwards' ministry and love for the Lord.
Naurice Edwards provided a well-rounded closing set, sharing messages, songs from his collection and most importantly a solid leading into a final encounter with the Lord!
His collection of songs took guests on a journey of emotions while also inviting interactions at different points, with one of the hooks, "A nuh me dat", to one of the many hard-hitting songs ringing loudly through the room.
All in all, this event was definitely an ENCOUNTER to remember, with a beautiful marriage of excellence with a desire to minister authentically unto God's people.
We are grateful for the opportunity to have been there and pray for God's continued favour on Naurice Edwards and all the ministers, and other participants from the night.
