Stay on the Rock!

Take a look around you. The world as we knew it is definitely not the same. Things have changed drastically in a short span of time. We are living in an evil age with heartless people who hardly have any regard for God, but, being believers in the Light, we have the great commission from Jesus Christ to bring the Gospel far and wide to the masses. To do this effectively, we need to stay on the Rock.

Staying on the Rock is:

  • Holding on to God with even a pinky finger when the trials and tribulations come at us full-force

  • Having faith in God even when you feel torn inside as a result of hurtful past event/s in one's life.

24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

These verses are profound as is, showing how important it is to stay to trust God and His heart for us, in wisdom - even when things become challenging; that we should still be encouraged that our God is well able to see us through no matter what.

When we build ourselves in Jesus we are wise; the trials and tribulations of this life will come at us but we will have the strength from God to endure and God will protect us when all else seems hopeless.

I can speak from experience writing this article that holding on to God despite hardships is definitely worth it.

I am hurting on the inside but I have chosen to stay on the Rock because the safety and assurance I get from this Rock goes way beyond what humans offer, as that's what the love of God promises.

Time is certainly winding down and this is not a time to play with our individual walks with God so we need to stay in God - we must stay on the Rock!
